Welcome young investors. You are taking the first step towards economic empowerment. Together we'll explore the world of money and finance. We'll not only learn about money, but we'll learn how to work with money. Making money should not only be for the rich.
To learn, we'll be playing the Stock Market Game. In the SMG there are ten investment teams, each controlling a portfolio of $100,000. Teams will use their capital to invest in the stock exchanges. Investment teams will research companies and sectors looking for stocks they want to own. Teams will be ranked on how much money their portfolio gains or loses.
Investment Teams for the SMG include 3 individuals who agree to work together to manage their portfolio. Participation in the course will be by email, Internet and in class. For more information email me through this blog, or stop by room 304 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Mondays-Fridays.
